Traditional microneedling uses a device to create micro-injuries to the skin which stimulates your body’s natural healing process. This process initiates collagen and elastin production which help tighten skin, reduce fine lines, and reduces acne scarring. Radio Frequency Microneedling adds radio frequency into the mix. Radio frequency is delivered through the small needles. This enhances skin tightening and scar reduction. The radiofrequency energy is delivered to the underlying layers causing constriction and tightening of the skin, while also stimulating collagen and elastin production. With the deep delivery of radio frequency energy, results are produced faster and are more dramatic.
Prior to the treatment, medical grade topical numbing is applied for 40-60 minutes. The treatment itself will take roughly 45 minutes to an hour depending on the area(s) being treated. Overall, expect to spend an hour and a half to 2 hours getting this treatment.
Some people may see results immediately post treatment, but it depend on the speed at which your body responds. Generally, improvements can be seen at 6-8 weeks. We recommend having 3 treatments, 4 weeks apart for optimal results.
